The purpose of this Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) was to validate novel IGRAs developed through in silico peptide selection, aimed at improving the immunodiagnostic detection of Mtb infection.

During the visit, I experimentally evaluated these diagnostic assays using blood samples from well-defined clinical groups, including patients with active tuberculosis, individuals with latent TB infection, and uninfected controls. In addition, I conducted follow-up analyses of cases recruited in September 2025.
